    Credit card liens on property in New York state
    Can a credit card company put a lien without any notice to a 70 year old man with nothing else

    No, they would have to get a judgment first.

    First if he is just talking to collect people on the phone, ( they lie) he needs to stop talking to any collection people on the phone.

    There will have to be a court hearing to get a judgement. Once they have a judgement, then they can place a lien. So has he ever been served, even a few years ago about this debt?
