    Live in Puerto Rico, Own a Home in Maine
    I am living and working in Puerto Rico, I own a home in Maine and pay interest on a mortgage there and I rent an apartment in Puerto Rico. My income comes from Puerto Rico.

    Am I able to claim a deduction on the interest on my Mortgage in Maine?

    On your U.S. federal tax return, yes.

    On your Puerto Rico return, unknown.
