    Who has to pay tax on commercial rental income in Florida
    I lease property in Orange County Florida. Do I have to pay a tax on the amount of the monthly lease payment?

    The lessor pays taxes on the income. The leasee can claim the rental expense as a business expense.

    Yes; as the owner, you report the rental income on Schedule E.
