Can military have clearance to see sealed juvenile records
I am 18 and just got out of the juvenile system. Does the military have the ability to see my juvenile record after it is sealed?? I talked to a recruiter yesterday and he sadi that I am not elgible because I have to many charges on my juvenile record, if they can't see it after they are sealed, will I still be able to enlist into the navy(the branch I talked to) even though they saw my records at one time before getting them sealed?

Hello G:
If you can get 'em sealed, I don't think a recruiter can see them.

Actually, yes, the military can "see" all records whether they are juvenile or adult.

Hello J:
Ok.. It DOES make sense that they could. But, the Army might take him anyway..

How? Are there exceptions to the laws, in all 50 states, to allow the DOD to review the records? Or is there a Federal law that allows this and, if so which?

I don't know about the Federal Laws, I know from the experience of 3 young men with juvenile records. Two of them were able to get into the military, one was not.

Depends what his record is, if there are serioius felonies, they won't take him, or a lot of drug charges.
So what the charges are, if they are petty, he can get a waiver most likely if it has been two or three years out of trouble
