    Who should rule England in 1066?
    1.research the 3 main contenders for the English throne in 1066: Harold Godwineson
    Harald Hardraada William of Normandy

    2.contribution to group activity: produce a list of why your contender for the throne should be king.

    Why king -- ability to employ army to defeat invader or invader to defeat English king -- size of army, provisions for army, tactics, armaments, how skilled the army is at using their armaments, locals to join army and help defeat either the invader or the domestic forces
