    Blue corrosion on outside of copper vent pipe
    I blue corrosion on the outside of the bathroom vent - copper pipe. What is it caused by and should I worry? I have to close up the wall shortly and does this need to be replaced? The house is built in 1960.

    What you see isn't corrosion, It's flux left over from soldering. If it bothers you take a damp cloth and just wipe it off. Not to worry. Good luck, Tom
