    Missed NJ tax last yr
    Hi all
    I work in NY but live full time in NJ. I moved into a new house and in all the craziness realized I forgot to pay my NJ income tax last year (I pd NY & Fed). Please help I don't know what to do!

    File the NJ return late. Since you filed and paid NY state taxes, it is likely that the NY taxes paid completely offsets any NJ taxes owed.

    If so, when you file, you will get a small refund (about $50) for the rebate for rent paid or property taxes paid.
