As a sponsor can I give 40 quarters of credit to the immigrant?
In immigration law, I need to submit a Affidavit of Support for my immigrant spouse. The affidavit is in effect until several things happen. One is that the immigrant can be credited with 40 quarters of Social Security work. Can I give or donate 40 quarters of my social security to the immigrant and thereby nullify my obligations under the Affidavit of Support?
