    PA tree laws
Can we have a large dead tree removed which is exactly on our property line?
This tree has been dead for 2 years. We spoke to our neighbor and offered to pay for its removal, however he has refused to let us take it down. Can he stop us from going ahead, or sue us later?

Ownership of the tree has to be determined. When it was younger, whose side of the property was it on ? If it is his tree you can not do anything, If it is your tree you can cut it down.

You may have to fight it out in court to prove who owns the tree. Or just cut it down and see if he sues you for it.
