    How many volts can a 15 amp switch handle
    Want to replace rheostat switches in personal residence with a 'regular' switch-
    How many volts can a 15 amp switch handle- ( I have 4 100watt bulbs on 1 circuit )

    You asked about volts but quoted watts. Standard wall switches are rated for 120 VAC. Some are higher rated. Your lights use 400 watts of a potential 1800 watts. Standard wall switch is fine.
