Well first off, there's a new guy at my school and let's say his name is Jonathan. I barely talk to Jonathan at all but he's in about 2 of my classes and he's always struck me as really smart and really cute. I mean to me he's one of the most adorable people I've ever met and there's just something about him that attracts me to him. However there is one problem: he just is not interested in me AT ALL. I've met guys like him before and guys like him tend to stay just friends with girls like me. He likes the really pretty magazine-cover sort of air brushed girls and well I'm not one of those. I am by no means ugly nor am I total air head but I'm not his type. After all he actually took one of my best friends to a school dance at his old school n she's basically the opposite of me. So yeah I need your help.

How can I get over him to avoid rejection?

Also I would like to mention that I don't want my liking him to affect my schoolwork. After all don't want to be find myself distracted thinking about someone who will never like me back.

You know you are not his type and he's not interested in you at all. Tell yourself to get over it and concentrate on your studies.
