    Religious Allowance
My boyfriend works as a leasing consultant for a nationwide apartment chain. He works a non-traditional work-week with one weekend off a month. The other two people who work similar roles (albiet more senior) work weekends once every two months (they rotate who works during the weekend my boyfriend has off). However, previous to him working there, the three employees worked weekends almost equally. His manager makes a new work schedule every two weeks.

The issue is Sundays. My boyfriend is very religious and would like to attend church on Sunday. He has found one close by and could be at work by 11:30, however their policy is to open at 11.

Do we have any options that would allow him to attend church? He asked his manager if he could come in then, and while she wasn't opposed- when she asked her supervisor, they said that they must open at 11. He then asked if they could change the weekend period to Friday/Sat so that he could have off Sundays if he can't come in late and she told him no. She has stated multiple times that she has wanted this schedule for years and that it is now ideal for her.

He's relatively new and doesn't want to bring this up again unless he has more guidance from a legal/HR standpoint.

There is only one option for service time? Usually churches have more than one service on Sunday and often one during the week for people who work weekends. Or scout around for a church with service times friendlier to his work schedule.

Go to a Evening service at this or another church, most larger ones have Saturday night and Sunday service, and/o Wed service.

But they are not required to let him off for church, he can look at changing jobs. Or changing shifts to week days
