    Hunter ceiling fan works fine but lights do not. New bulbs. 6 mo. Old.
    6 mo. Old fan works fine but lights quit a week ago .new bulbs ,checked wires all seems OK.

    Need to use a voltage tester to follow the circuit from the switch to the ceiling outlet box, and through the wiring harness inside the unit, to determine where the problem is.

    Could be a defective switch, or a loose splice or connection anywhere from the switch to the lamp socket.

    Hi there, read the section on "My light kit dosent work"

    At the bottom of the page there. There is a link there too to how to use a multi meter/ volt meter to determine the problem.

    Also in terms of checking the wires you may want to check this article which is very in depth on ceiling fan wiring.
