You can't shave your vagina, that would be impossible, however, I know what you mean. You are experiencing a skin irritation from shaving and no you can't touch it, it will go away on its own. Never shave with a dull razor, always use a new one.

You do not pop it, it is either a irritation or a ingrown hair.

Vagina
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The vagina (from Latin vāgīna, literally "sheath" or "scabbard") is a fibromuscular tubular tract which is a sex organ and has two main functions; sexual intercourse and childbirth. In humans, this passage leads from the opening of the vulva to the uterus (womb), but the vaginal tract ends at the cervix. Unlike men, who have only one genital orifice, women have two, the urethra and the vagina. The vaginal opening is much larger than the urethral opening, and both openings are protected by the labia.[1][2] The inner mould of the vagina has a foldy texture which can create friction for the penis during intercourse. During arousal, the vagina gets moist to facilitate the entrance of the penis.[3]
The Latinate plural "vaginae" is rarely used in English. In casual conversation, the word vagina is often used to refer to the vulva or to the female genitals in general.[4] The traditional dictionary definition refers exclusively to the specific internal structure.

Yeah, we've been here before and I don't take Wiki as a credible source.
It's just that vagina's are my main source of income, so I kind of know what they are composed of. LOL

No, never pop a pimple no matter where it is on your body as it opens up the skin tissue and you then risk infection.

So you can shave your "vaginia"?
I thought the vagina was internal. Of course, I'm not medically trained, I don't play a Doctor on TV, and I'm not a Nurse in real life.
My knee jerk reaction was "What?"

Really folks, it is a common term that most people use. There's no need to get so technical about it.
Yes, technically it is the inner canal, or what is known as the vaginal vault, but why in the world do we have to be so critical? The majority of women know that area of their body as the vagina, or virginia in some cases.
We can't expect every woman who comes here asking if they should shave their mons pubis now, can we?

No, of course not, that is technical and can't expect that. We used to call them pubes. All we can do is try to educate here and maybe we won't have so many tweens saying they are shaving their virginia. Well, they are sort of correct, it is down 'south' :)
I know your profession, J, and I commend you for everything you do, there and here, but we can't split hairs all the time, and although some say they don't find wiki credible, it is available and the description of the vagina in medical terms is correct none theless.

In the end, we can't "split hairs," so if someone wants to shave their vagina, or pop pimples on it, we advise them accordingly because, as you stated, vagina is a medical term, and so is mons pubis.
And Wiki is not credible... just try to go to college and use them as a source for a paper... it will fly out the window like a paper airplane.

No, we can't - but if they don't know the proper terms maybe somebody should clue them in before they embarrass themselves any further.
I don't know that the majority of the women in the world think the entire "area" is the vagina - but you work with the majority of the women in the world and I don't.
I don't know what "we" can and cannot expect on the medical boards, but I'm learning.

Look at it this way, when someone posts that they have a stomach ache, we don't ask which of the four quadrants hurts. Most don't know where their actual stomach is compared to large or small intestines, gallbladder or appendix, for example.
While we are here to educate, something's are just too small and/or immaterial to matter.
Obviously you can't shave your vaginal canal as hair doesn't grow there, but why get so persnickety about it? It's just a general term after all.

It's not much different now Tick. When I wrote all of my papers, and now my daughter (in college) we were/are told not to use Wiki or the papers will indeed fail.

I'm not going to argue with you on the Board -
You're not happy with my persnickety posts, remove them.

I wasn't talking about you anyway, nor was I talking about Tickle. We just have a bunch of persnickety posts lately and it has absolutely nothing to do with either of you.
