I got a pimple last week on the base of my penis shaft... popped it like any other pimple... but now there is a bump where it was and doesn't seem to be going away... please advise"

You probably opened up a nice bit of infection by breaking whatever it was. No keep it clean. But now the question is do you have an STD? Better get in to a clinic or see your doctor to find out just why you would have an eruption on the head of your penis that looked like a pimple.

Definitely not an STD (pure virgin) and its at the base not head... I was thinking its infected... are there any ways to treat this? I have a Dr appt in two weeks but would hope I don't have to whip it out... thanks

If it's infected then only a doctor can help.

Here's the problem. You popped it. Let me guess, you probably poked it with a needle, right? There's no way to completely sterilize a needle at home. So you put the dirty needle in (even if you doused it with alcohol, bleach and everything else you had at home, it's still dirty), and introduced infection. Then you pulled the needle out letting more infection enter a now open wound. Then you squeezed it, made the opening larger, allowing even more infection to enter.

In other words, you introduced foreign bodies, and likely infection. The only way to treat infection is to see your doctor, and yes, you'll likely have to "whip it out". No big deal. You'll have to "whip it out" many times in the future, may as well get used to it now.

See your doctor. :)

Yes I noticed I had stated the wrong location; you must not ever pop anything down that way. You open up your body for pure infection anywhere near your pubic area. You should have given us more information as to your sexual proclavity when posting, and I would not have assumed an STD. But, yes be careful of breaking the skin anywhere on your body. I am not assuming you used a needle, just squeezed it with your fingers, right?
