    Court Martial Conviction
This year I was convicted of possession, use , and introduction of a controlled substance (anabolic steroids) at general court martial. Sentence adjudged was reduction to the grade of E-5, 6 months confinement, and a Bad Conduct Discharge. The convening authority granted clemency and only approved the reduction in rank and confinement. I'm back on active duty and have an approved retirement date of 1 Jan 2013. Considering where I was, where I'm at now, only leaves where I'm going? Based on the search of this sight, I will have a felony conviction in the NCIC data base. Almost every employer I've considered for future employment is making it clear they will perform a background check, and the conviction is something I better get used to talking about. I'm interested in knowing what will be reported to prospective employers from companies like Hireright? I've done some pedestrian back ground searches and nothing comes up for criminal records, but I don't think these systems are linked to NCIC and therefore are useless. Any advice is appreciated. Thank you in advance.

Yes this will show up in the report, so yes get used to being honest about it and expect it to be harder to get a job. And some jobs may even be unable to be held due to licence rules
