Hi my name is marshal and I have a germansheberd dog so every time I hit him or he even think I want to hit him he pee on the ground so what should I do to stop that

A dog doesn't understand anger. A dog doesn't understand English, or whatever language you speak to it. A dog only understands training and praise.

You are abusing your dog. He pees because he's afraid of you.

What you're doing is animal abuse.

If you would like to learn the correct way to treat your dog, I'm more than willing to train you. If not, then I would suggest re-homing the dog to someone with the time and patience to treat this dog humanely.

Before you get upset about my post, you should know that I really bit my tongue on this one. I'm ready to hit you until you pee your pants, that's how mad I am. But I will help you, because I want to save your dog.

I have to say, I read this thread and my head almost exploded. I can't believe that there are still people out there that think that hitting anyone is acceptable. At least a human being understands somewhat, but a dog doesn't. A dog only knows that the person that they love beyond reason, and we all know a dogs love knows no bounds, is hitting them. A dog doesn't understand why. A dog doesn't learn from being hit, no one does, but least of all a dog. A dog only does its best to be a good dog. Hitting doesn't teach the dog anything other than fear.

I have dogs. I will admit that there are times when I'd really like to give them a slap. The other day Rascal nosed through the garbage, grabbed a soup can that still had soup in it, took it to my bed, and got soup all over my bed. I was not happy.

What was Rascals punishment? I told him no very firmly, grabbed him by the collar and put him outside, cleaned up the mess, and then, when I let him inside, I stood guard by the garbage can, and every time he went near it, I said NO! Did he learn not to go in the garbage? Not completely. But I took the first step, and he's learning, willing to learn. Fact is, not once did I raise my hand to him, only my voice. And my voice is far more affective than any beating. He knows when I'm mad, he can hear it in my voice, and see it in my body language. That's how dogs communicate.

Does hitting a dog work? Yes, if you hit your dog whenever he goes in the garbage, or bites you, sooner or later your dog will learn that doing these things will result in a beating. Dogs aren't stupid, they understand cause and effect. To the OP, here's the difference between what I do and what you do.

My dog; "If I go in the garbage my owner will say no, and no means that I shouldn't do that. She will then put me outside, and I don't want to be away from her. So, if I stop going in the garbage, my owner will be happy, and I'll get to be with her. When I stay away from the garbage I get pets, and a treat. I love it when she pets me. I love being with her."

OP's dog; "If I go in the garbage my owner will hit me. Hitting hurts, and I don't understand it. I know I don't like it, and it makes me afraid, so I'll stay away from the garbage. I understand that the garbage is bad, and so is my owner. I don't want to be with my owner, I'd rather be outside, far away from him".

That's the difference.

i didnt use to hit the dog his ex owner used to i think i just bought him weeks ago
and i hit him gentely like your playing with a friend and i do that like am saying to him dont do that and most of the times he pees when i just rise my hand so he think i wanna hit him
i will never hit a dog hard so he can feel the pain i will kill someone if i see him do that
am sorry if u think about it in a bad way but i love my dog

Why didn't you say that in the first place? Your first post in which you said "every time i hit him" sounds mean and abusive.

These are your words. You didn't say he was abused in his former home and you haven't had him for very long or that you are talking about playing roughly with the animal. You said, "when I hit him..."

Are there any other misconceptions that need to be addressed? Why don't we start over and you can give us more background information?

How old is he? How long have you had him? Does he show any other submissive behaviors such as showing his belly when he thinks you are upset?

If he has been abused, you are going to have to gain his trust and rebuild his confidence. It starts with not raising your hand around him for awhile or even petting roughly. You might even need to be careful with your tone and loudness of your voice. Teach him commands using positive reinforcement. As he learns what you want and that you won't hurt him, his confidence will grow and he won't pee as much.

We can only go by what you write, and you wrote that you hit your dog. You didn't write that he was abused before you got him, and you didn't write that you don't hit him roughly, you wrote that he pees every time you hit him.

We can't read minds, we can only base our opinions on what you write. You didn't give all the info, and the info you did give was that you're abusing this dog. Frankly I'm not buying that you don't hit him. I think you're changing your story now because of the outrage we all feel towards animal abusers.

Truth is, now that the OP has added more info, I'm even more angry. He knows this is an abused scared dog, and he still hits him, still raises his hand to him.

Hopefully the dog will be given a new home, a home with someone that will love him, give him the compassion and understanding he deserves. So far it seems this poor dog has had nothing bad bad luck with two horrible owners. :(

Sadly there are some people who would find that amusing. I'll keep my descriptive terms of those people to myself.

OP I hope your added info is more truthful than I think it is, if this is truly your story, then you have some work to do.
If not then you need to rehome him, look for a rescue that will take him and work with him, not just some Joe Shmoe off the street who is also going to treat him badly.

So you think beating a dog is okay? He has admitted twice that he hits the dog, and that the dog pees when he hits it, or raises his hand to it.

Well, if your dog pees every time you "play" hit him, than the only resolution to him not peeing when you do that, or raise your hand, or move quickly with your hands... is to not do it.

I understand what "play" hitting a dog is.. just kind of rough-housing with them.. but if you have an abused dog that has had a rough start in life, than that is the types of games you cannot play.
