Am I pregnant?
I'm not due my period for another week however I've had these feelings for over a week now. My breast were/are really sore and now the past few days my nipples have also become sore. I've got gas also a lot more than usual then again I feel I'm eating more than I normally did. I now and again get back ache too. My boyfriend in is the army and was on leave for a month so I began the pill a week before he came home as that's when my period started, I know it doesn't stop contraception straight away but we'd not used anything in over a year so thought it wouldn't make a difference. I've taken a pregnancy test and it can back negative, that was a week ago. All in all I could be anything from 2-7 weeks pregnant if I was. I do get sore breasts when my period starts and that can be 3-5 days before my period or I can get a bad back but both of these symptoms I have now feel different. And I've had them for the last two weeks?? Help

If your period is not due for a week, you still need to wait to test. And you need to use a back-up method until you are on your birth control pills for a month before they take effect.

So even though I've done a test already you think I should wait till after my period? It isn't a problem whether I am or not. If anything I'm more worried it could be cancer in my breasts but I've been told it shouldn't hurt if it is and I also have no lumps. I've never had them this sore before though and so in advance of my period. I've been with my partner for 5years and I'm 25 so it would be lovely if I was, although I could do with waiting a little longer.

A test this early is not effective. Most have to wait till AT LEAST a week AFTER your period was suppose to start.

Like Fr Chuck said, you need to wait to test after your period. And sore, tender breasts are not unusual prior to your period, even when you are not pregnant.

Well I've just started my period and I'm extremely heavy, it's 13days early. I've still got the Back ache and sore breasts, which isn't like anything I've had before. I'll still do a test after this. Then go and consult with my GP.

1 Positive pregnant Test, 3 negative pregnant Tests, and 2 weeks late

I took a HPT the day after my missed period and it was positive. It was a digital first response. The next week I took 3 more tests and all were negative. I still have symptoms and I am now 2 weeks late on my period. I have a doctor's visit scheduled for the day that I would be 4 weeks late.
