Ok now here is my concern, I just found out today I'm 8wks n 3 days pregnant, so how do I go about getting off these with out hurting my baby while I'm going threw these very intense withdraws? Which I'm sure can't b much worse than what I'm putting this pour child threw already, I have cried non stop today because I have no where to turn to ask got help and advise... Can someone please please please give me some kind of idea as to what is, the safest way for me to quit for my baby... Thank you! ¤Breezie¤

I have tried to quit before and it was (excuse my language) absolutely hell, I'm looking for an easier route than "cold turkey" honestly I think that would put too much stress on the baby.. Another problem is we have no clinics that help addictions where I live :-(... Any advise is always better than none... Thank you ¤Breezie¤

I still use, because I'm afraid if I try to stop my baby won't survive the withdrawl from this! So basically myquestion is.. Is it safe for me and my child to quit cold turkey, or is there a safer route I can take that Wil limit the amount of stress the withdrawl from these Wil cause my child? Thanks ¤Breezie¤

You have me in a bit of a cross-wind here. I am an addiction specialist but lack the background and competence to address pre-natal issues. You are correct in considering how your use will influence the developing fetus but how, to what extent and relative timeline is my shortcoming. Just have never handled such matters and it requires special knowledge and consideration.
What I will try and do is locate a resource for you if you will provide the state where you reside.
Please don't approach this with the attitude that any advice is better than none. That could have disastrous results.

Usually programs for drug treatment are state administered. You could check on the internet for available help by your state of residence. If you prefer simply provide the state where you live and I will look for some programs that may be accessible to you.

I apologize if I seem a lttle on edge or desperate, I just have no clue what to do! I have no family to ask advise from, we have no clinics, and local hospital Wil only observe u while u detox...
I know I have to quit no question about that, just not to sure when is the safest time throughout the pregnancy to stop that would cause the baby the least amount of stress...

Here is a place to start.
Wexner Medical Center
This is the type of program that will be most beneficial as it specifically deals with addiction in tandem with fetal care, to stabilize and withdraw. I see that it has outreach programs in the state as well. Another,
HealthCare.gov
Look these over, call them and keep us posted.

You really need to discuss this addiction with your OB. However to get over the humps of withdrawal, benadryl is safe to use during pregnancy. It is advisable to take it every 6 hours as needed during the withdrawal period.

My concern with talking with OB is I don't want them trying to take this baby from me or anything like that, when I'm wanting the help to get off them... Where I live they are quick to snatch your baby for that kind of thing... and that would absolutely destroy me!

If you keep using it will destroy your unborn child. If your child is born addicted it WILL be noticed.
You need to take J9's advice.

If ud read everything I have said then ud c I already know this and am working on it. There is no doubt n my mind that I have to completely stop, but I c no need n risking cps taking my child once I have it for something I'm stopping now n won't b any concern to them at that time! And state law is they have to notify cps n any addiction case! Sorry but talking to my ob is not an option! I'm doing my research n Weaning myself off on my own!

I'd take you a lot more seriously if you didn't use text speak which, by the way, is not allowed on AMHD.
I DID read this entire thread. So you would rather "wean yourself off" based on Internet advice from strangers than talk to your OB/GYN, know the whole time that your child is in danger?
Lets see - you don't want to put YOURSELF through absolute Hell so you have decided to put your baby through absolute Hell. I don't know why you don't understand/can't figure this out for yourself.
Sorry - I think somebody needs to save your child. I think someone also needs to save you.
IF blood tests when the child is born indicate that he/she has been exposed to drugs in utero, you are going to lose custody. If you are using medical intervention to stop using you have a fighting chance of keeping your child.
That's how the legal system works.
