    Menopause or not
    I'm 52 have not had my cycle for about 4 months now I have it and its very heavy. Is this normal?

    It can be. Many women today are starting menopause even in their 40's. So not having them, or being very illregular happens at the start.

    I wouldn't call a heavy period at 52 after 4 months of no period normal, but there is very little that is ordinary about any given woman and her menstrual cycles. On the other hand, there could be something unusual going on. I'd make a doctor's appointment for mid-week and cancel it if the period stops, or better yet, talk on the phone with your doctor about it to see if you should cancel or not. We know nothing of your medical history and general health.
