What if employer gives 1099 for payment of attorney fees in workers comp case
Taxability of attorney fees in a worker's comp case. My employer was responsible to pay the fees. I understand the fee was not deductible because my award was non taxable. But I got a 1099 from my prior employer (late) showing the attorney fee as income to ME? Is that right. Now, I have the IRS on my back! My attorney had said everything was nontaxable.
