What does the bible say about sleeping with someone (no sex)
Hi there, I am a Christian, and am not planning to do anything like this, I was just wondering:
What does the bible say about sleeping with someone?
I don't mean having sex. I mean like a girl and a boy who are going out but not married sleeping together. Just cuddling in bed and sleeping together- not sex.
Because I know that the bible says you can't have sex before marriage, but what does it say about sleeping with someone before marriage?
Thanks.

The Bible doesn't say anything about it.

I don't know - I'm not the Bible expert BUT isn't there something about avoiding temptation and avoiding scandal?
You're 13 - why are you asking this?

Cheesecake,
We are told to put NO confidence in our flesh. In other words, don't put yourself in a position where your hormones are raging and you have opportunity to have sex. Laying in bed together all night is intimate and even the best intentions can turn out badly if you are trying to avoid sexual relations. Jesus said the spirit is willing but the flesh is weak. I wouldn't leave my boys alone in their bedrooms with a girl... let alone lying to cuddle all night. It isn't wise.
Also the bible says we are to give NO appearance of evil. Even if the two of you were as innocent as lambs all night.. it gives the appearance of the possible wrong doing. It isn't a wise move in any way.

And I am concerned - you appear to be either suicidal or depressed or both. You have a love/hate relationship with a "boyfriend." Then you post this because he seems to be emotionally drifting away.

My boyfriend and I broke up last week. He is still my best friend. And I didn't post this with regard to him at all, I was just reading "Catching Fire" (the second Hunger Games book) and it said that Peeta and Katniss held each other in bed (no sex) so I was just wondering. Thank you for your concern though.

Hi everyone, it seems as though you all think I was planning to do this, which makes me feel bad. I wasn't, it was really honestly just a question. I am only thirteen and would never dream of doing anything like this at all. Thank you for your answers. :)

My advice to you would be to look for the answers yourself in the bible. Us as Christians have to be careful about what we take in. Im not saying that asking advice from people is wrong... but sometimes "people" can be misleading. We should always ask the father to reveal the answers we need, and make sure that the bible lines up with the things people tell us. If that makes any sense.
