    Leaking faucet with shaking pipes
I was woken up this morning to find that one of the faucets in my bathroom has a has a steam of water free flowing from the hot water. I attempted to turn it off but the faucet handle was like a spring and bounced back. I then attempted to turn off the water, but there is no hot water shut off valve, only cold. Then a toilet was flushed and there was a rumble noise (sounded like a generator almost) in the wall behind it. All of the other faucets in the house are fine. What do I do? The hot water tank is empty so I am worried about shutting off the main water valve, and I am waiting to plumbers to call back. Please help

Replaced bath Faucet, Leaking pipes [ 5 Answers ]

Hi, I recently replaced a bath faucet. I had to replace the entire pipe (Galv) and the hardware store did not have the proper length. I used a 48" threaded pipe with a coupler and a 4" nipple to get the proper size. When I turned the water back on, there is a leak at the coupler. I would use...
