    Mansfield Toilet Flapper Repair Kit
    Having a problem with the toilet being hard to flush. I really have to exert a lot preassure of the flush handle to get the tolit to flush.

    Hi Rbcherry

    Lift the lid off the toilet tank and examine the toilet handle for anything that would cause an issue. Here, if there is nothing obvious then I would have you flush the toilet and then wiggle the handle up and down. If you find that the toilet handle goes up and down effortlessly and is only a problem when you initiate the lifting of the flapper then most likely the flapper has softened too much and is getting sucked down into the flush valve assembly making it hard to engage and lift for a flush.

    In this case, replacing the flapper with a new mansfield flapper should resolve your issue... ;)

The toilet components have to be replaced. They have kits with all the necessary Parts. But I see a lot of complaints regarding Fluidmasters. $19.96. Maybe there is a better toilet kit available someplace?
