    Spotting after not having a period for 3 years
    I'm only 22, but I stopped having my period when I was 19. Now I'm spotting, no flow. Should I be concerned? My health teacher in college said it could be that my brain isn't sending the chemicals to have my eggs released on a month basis, could be a hormonal imbalance, I'd like a second opinion.

    Sounds like you need a second science teacher. College teacher,

    Your brain will send electronic impulses to various parts of your body. Other organs really function on their own or work automatically with brain functions.

    Your body will produce hormones and this is what cuases your monthly cycle.

    What you should have been told, was to go see the doctor as to why no periods for three years.
