Hello all I have been dating a girl for 2 years next week. A little background she used to date a friend of mine and we were best friends for a while through high school. She broke up with him and a few months later we hooked up. She basically jumped from one relationship to another. We hit it
Off great, we got along great had the most fun together. She went to her first year of college and we stayed together with the occasional fight but we made it. A few months ago she started to act different and now we are broken up. I have been a perfect boyfriend, but what happened now is she wants to see what it's like to be single. She says she still loves me, but just needs time apart. If I could explain to you how much I love this girl, her family and everything about her to you, you probably wouldn't believe me. But just the thought (and now reality) of us not being together is terrible, I just want to down. What do I do? What are the best steps to keep her around. I want to marry this girl, the connections we have are insane, we are ourselves together. I need advice.

It's a normal part of the college experience to play the field a little and it's natural for her to want that experience. Maybe your relationship was perfect. From the information you provided, it doesn't seem like there are problems for you to fix. What she's wanting has nothing to do with anything you are or are not doing. She wants a chance to be young and single. Maybe she'll find someone else, maybe she won't, but you can't hold onto her if she doesn't want you to. If you try to force her to stay with you, my guess is that she'll resent you. My advice is to let her know you love her, but also give her the chance to figure out what she wants. If she loves you, she'll come back. If not, then you'll have to move on.
