    My house has a sump pump in basement to take washing machine discharge and pump it up to the septic line. Is the soapy water from washer harmful to the sump pump? I need to replace the pump at this time.

    No! Your concern should be with the lint clogging the pump.
    I need to replace the pump at this time.
    Why? Is it clogged>b Motor burned out? Please explain.
    In the future I's make a lint trap out of a old nylon stocking and place it over the discharge hose from the washer. Good luck, Tom
