Internet Dating Nightmares
I'd like to hear about other's BAD internet dating situations....
I'll tell one of mine that made me swear off of the concept years ago!
I once went on a long drive a couple hours from my home to meet someone that I thought was ligitimate. We had talked on the phone numeous times, emails, exchanged pics, etc...
I sent flowers ahead of time to the name and town she had given me. Well to make a long story short, the flowers were delivered to the wrong person. The person I had intended them for never got them. So I said I would try to make arrangements for the mistake to be corrected.
I called and appologized to the wrong recipient for the mix up and asked if I could make arrangements to pick up the flowers so that I could deliver them to the right person. The person on the phone said yes, they understood that mix ups could happen. So, I went. When I arrived, I found myself being interrogated at gunpoint for an hour. I was pretty darn scared thinking I was going to end up buried in a hole... so eventually, three sherriff's cars pulled in, and I was again interrogated. I was glad at least when the police showed up. I got a lecture about internet dating safety, as well as an explanation that the woman at the house... thought she was in hiding... under federal witness protection program... and that I might have been sent by the person she was hiding from... I told them that I called first, because if they didn't want me to come, I would not have troubled them any further. The police went on to say that no one by the name I had been given lived anywhere in that county. So they let me go.
I now had my $85 flower arrangement, (and clean underwear) so I continued on my quest. I called the number of the person that was supposed to get the flowers. She told me where I could find her. I showed up, and she was there with 8 kids, cussing them all out, and a (boyfriend, brother, or male companion?? ) all sitting out on their front porch. I never left the sidewalk, but handed her the flowers and said these were supposed to be for you. She acted surprised but kept cussing out the little kids. I told her I had to get back home but wanted to deliver the flowers before they wilted or something. She was also 300 pounds heavier than the picture she had sent me!
The image I had of her previously, was now much different. I felt pretty stupid.

I don't think I can top that one but... here my story.
I didn't follow the internet dating protocol. I'm refused to speak to someone online for months then meet them and find out that we don't click. So what I would do is arrange to take them out as soon as possible. I'll take the person on a date and if we don't click we finish our date and part ways.
We make arrangements she figure she will meet me at my apartment which was fine. She didn't live far for me. I offered to send her a cab which she refused. She said she would take the bus, called me back 10 minutes later and said it's a nice outside she'll just ride her bike. And no we are not going bike riding...
I'm into the girly type she was a tomboy. She wore black jeans, black shirt and white dirty sneakers.
After we parked the bike in my living room, we took a cab to the pool hall and she complained about how much the cab ride was. If it had something to do with money she complained how expense it was. While playing pool she we had small talk... she told she was kind upset with her ex-boyfriend... she told him that she wanted to have his kid.. she thought that was best thing any woman could offer a man.
I asked her if she was thirsty she was... so I offered her a soda and to my surprise she said she would get it. The even bigger surprise was she can back empty handed and upset. When I asked why she explained that the vendor machine charge $2.00 for the soda and in corner store it's only a $1 they must be crazy. I had to stop for leaving the pool to get the sodas for across the street.
We went back to my apartment to get her bike. I walked her down stair kiss her on the cheek and she peddled out of life never to be seen again.

Le me see, one lady brought a wedding dress catalog ( bride magazine) on the first date.
Another was actually a really nice lady, but she had my entire life planned out, for my job, by the 3rd date, she knew who to introduce me to and I heard on every date how she made her last husbands position and so on.
And then there was the lady who was the witch and told me I would never be able to leave her since she had a spell on me now.
There was another who was into being tied up and other things,
And of course the one who brought her "girlfiend" with her on a weekend date.
So yes there can be some strange dating from people online.

I stupidly moved in with a man I had met on the internet and in person only twice. We talked online and via text & phone for six weeks. I had a job opportunity in the city where he lived, and we seemed to have a lot in common. There also seemed to be some potent chemistry. He needed a room mate and I needed a place to live in order to take the job.
One of the things we had in common is that each of us has a young daughter.. He had complained that he spent all his money on day care because he had to pay for day and night care because of all the hours he worked. Since my job was to be part time at first, he offered to pay me to watch his daughter at night.
I supplied half the deposit money for the move in. He borrowed an additional $600 from me for the electric deposit. I've been here three weeks and not only have not gotten paid for the child care, but needless to say, the money I lent him has not been repaid.
He has been cold and distant to me from the moment I moved to this city. NO romance at all. Last week his regular day care schedule was stopped because he did not pay the sitter. So I had to quit my job of two weeks because now MY child doesn't have day care(yes, I trusted him to make the arrangements, we were supposed to be a couple.)
Now I'm stuck in this city, penniless, jobless and soon to be homeless because this morning, I found him and his 4 year old daughter in bed together, totally nude. He told me I need to get out because of the things I insinuated about that situation.
He's 40, I'm 23. We live in West Palm Beach Florida.
His name is Jorge Nickel and can be found on mugshot.com. I wish I had looked him up before I made this stupid move. I hope my mom can get the money to move me back home before something really bad happens.
I feel stupid and embarrassed by this story but I want to tell it so that other women won't be taken in by this felonious man or at least be sure and do a background check before you get serious with someone you met on the internet.

I met a guy from a well-known online dating website. The initial date (I wouldn't call it the first date) was just over coffee and some small talks. I thought of him as a nice and easy going guy but nothing more. So, I agreed to see a movie with him which was 2 days later. During the 2 days, he texted me a lot just to say hi. I started to feel annoyed a little bit and was thinking "Ok, he is displaying his attention to me. Fine! Take it easy, woman." After the movie and a cheap dinner, I was pretty sure that I wasn't into him. Instead of saying it right at his face, I stopped replying his text messages the day after. He probably picked up the bad vibe and also stopped texting me. A day later, He sent me a photo of him (no face though) with a pair of cartoon slippers (with Homer Simpson’s face) on his feet and a short section of his penis. He asked, "What do you think about my new slippers?"
Compared to your stories, mine could have turned into stalking nightmares or even more frightening results. Please date safely when you meet someone online!!
