    Group communication- conflict management
    CASE STUDY: Solving a conflict between 2 persons

    Please help! I have a case study and we need to identify what are the possible solutions needed to solve the conflict and we should explain it with reasonable and logical approach and it goes like this:

    What if I Handed a vacation request form to out Department secretary and after gave the form to her she said with anger, "NO! RULES ARE RULES! You only gave me this form right now though our company had a 21 days notice and this form should be given 1 month before!"

    Then I said to her, "No, I can't because my mom is ill."


    NOW, how can we solve and manage the conflict? Do we need a third party to solve it? If there is any possible solutions, what are those? PLEASE I am truly need your help guys! THANKS!

    How big is the company (# of departments, # of employees)? Union? An HR department?

    Our professor did not identify numbers of departments and employees

    I am thinking of using a third party . And that is the head of the company (their boss).. accompany with the code of labor in the philippines regarding the rules of leave or the employee's right to leave. Can you give me some other solutions?
