Lamictal Rash; Do I need a 2nd visit to the ER?
Wednesday night (8-22-12)went to ER for fever, chills, pain in body from head to toe, and a rash developing on my ankle and while in the ER saw it spread to my wrists. Dr looked at my meds and saw that I was on Lamictal and knew immediately that it was the cause. I have stopped taking the Lamictal as he has ordered and am taking the antibiotic he prescribed, and I am on Acyclovir because I have already had a problem with herpes simplex 1 in the right eye. However it has been two days and while the headache and pains are gone the glands are still swollen and the rash has spread to the inside of my legs, arms, and looks as if I have had a sunburn. I have just given myself an oatmeal bath as well and I have covered my body with calendula cream and neem oil. Will I be fine or should I go back to the ER?
