    Difference between deleting and voiding an entry
    Is there a subtle accounting difference between voiding and deleting a cheque, or can the terms be used interchangeably.

    if you delete a cheque from a file the transaction no longer exists, if you void a cheque you reduce the value of the transaction to zero by entering a negative transaction but the record remains
