If you have hot water everywhere but the shower, it will most likely be your mixing valve or hot water valve if there is no mixer. Shut off the supply main, remove the handle and the bezel and you should see a hex nut holding the valve or cartridge. Remove it, inspect it, clean it or buy new. Before going too far have someone else turn the main back on just for a second or two. You will need to hold a towel over the valve opening to prevent water from going everywhere, you might get damp. If the hot pressure is good the valve is the problem. If the pressure is still bad with the valve removed please write back with more info.

Let me add to Ballengers advice -- Place a wet rag over the shower drain before disassembling anything.

Fishing small parts out of the p-trap can be a real drag.

Growler, I can't give you a positive rating since it is too soon since I last rated you. Lets just say covering the drain is swell advice. Saves a lot of time and practicing four letter words.

Jose, before you open the valve and remove the insides, try peekling under the handle for a handle limit aparatus that can be adjusted.
