    Restoring stainless steel finishes
Acidic tile and grout cleaner that splashed on the very bottom door of a stainless steel refrigerator door.
The spash marks left a little dark blotches on the stainless steel. The stainless has horizontal grooves in it.
We used stainless steel cleaners and just seemed to make the spots darker.
Any suggestions would be grateful. Mike

    Muriatic acid, probably.
Try Barkeeper's Friend or Scratch B Gone and a 3M pad or emery cloth. No steel wool.
Move in straight horizontal lines, no circles.
