    How do I change?
I'm 18 and gay, I'm about to go to college in like 2 days... But I get very depressed when I think of myself... I really want a boyfriend, but whenever I picture myself with a guy I only find myself disgusted with him because I'm so ugly and he's the only person I can get... I try to work but I see little to no result I have acne on my back, face, neck and chest but the dermatologist can never prescribe me anything that works, I'm not muscular and people say I'm not fat but I think so, I can never find clothes that look good on me and looking people in the eyes is hard unless there a girl cause I have no interest... I never had a boyfriend a day in my life and I need help... I think it's possible but then again I don't think so... I'm just so confused anyone can you help me??

If looks is all that people are interested in, they are not worth dating.

A real relationship is built off common interest and looks have little to do with it.

You need to go to college, get out of that silly high school mind set, group up and find out that looks will have little to do with dating as you grow up

I can help, look at that guy in the mirror straight in the eye and tell him I love you, and do good things for him. Do this everyday, twice a day for two months.

Don't forget to smile! This is a practice to accept yourself and love yourself, and be good to yourself, instead of tearing yourself down because you have no confidence in yourself, and yourself esteem is the pits.

You've torn apart your physical appearance and highlighted all of the attributes you dislike about yourself. This is my mind is an easy thing for most people to do, given the multitude of images we see of "human perfection" everyday. It's also something that we need to try hard to avoid. One thing to consider is that dwelling on appearance is a luxury. Many peoples lives are so difficult that they never have time to worry, "I'm too fat," or "I don't have enough muscle tone."

What you need to do is not focus on those attributes which you believe to be imperfect, but rather look for things that you like about yourself (appearance and personality). I seriously struggled with body image throughout my teens and the advice I'm giving you was helpful to me personally. Focus on the positives. For example, I have small ears and I like them. You need to find your characteristics that you personally like if not love and remind yourself everyday that they are part of you. I'm sure you have plenty of great aspects to who you are. :)
