Company forgot to file H1B transfer
I was employed with company A on H1B for almost a year. Then the company decided to do a joint venture and became company B. They said they would transfer our H1B in B's name and we just need to submit scans of current passport and visas. I did that. I have been waiting for the latest I797 with company B's name on it but haven't received any yet. I thought others haven't received it too, but I just found out that others got theirs almost 2 months back. What do I do? In case my company forgot to file it, what will happen? If they file now, then what will happen? Will I still be deported or something else bad?
    Please help!!
