In June I had unprotected sex, July I started to feel really sick and nauseous, I can't hold any food down, I been eating more than usual and I had gained a little weight. When I took a recent one to me it was invalid, the first window (where + suppose to go) it was a line but I couldn't tell if it was positive or negative because it wasn't clear and in the second window where the negative supposed to be nothing showed up. (if it did it was very faint). In July 1 or 2 were negative but the rest came up exactly like the recent one. I had a blood test done in July and it was negative but a nurse believes that it was wrong because she said a lot of women who been getting pregnant recently don't know that they are pregnant until 9-20 weeks even with negative blood and home tests.

You're correct, but a nurse practitioner can, and that was my assumption since there was no mention of a Dr. in the post.

If I'm also reading the rest right, more than one of those tests had a line show up in the positive window, with nothing in the negative window. Is that also correct?

If that's the case, a faint positive is a positive, especially more than one. False negatives are very common, false positives aren't.

Sounds to me like you're pregnant, and it's already been confirmed. But I'm basing that on how I read your post.

Then congrats. Four faint positives are a positive. False positives are very rare. Four, not likely.

I'd say that you are indeed pregnant. I would still confirm with a doctor, but at this point I would start taking prenatal vitamins, stop drinking, stop smoking (if either of these apply to you) and treat yourself as if you're pregnant.

Keep in mind that I can only go by what you posted, but from what you posted, I'd say you are indeed pregnant. :)

That's the rule. False positives, no matter how faint, are rare. They usually show up faint because you don't yet have a large amount of HCG in your body. In other words, you're very early in your pregnancy. The later you are into your pregnancy, the higher the HCG level, and the more accurate a pregnancy test is.

As for the blood test, that's usually very accurate, but you're dealing with human error, just like a pee test. Blood tests can be mixed up, or treated incorrectly, and just like a pee test, they can be taken too soon and show up negative because it's too early to test. Just because you got a negative blood test doesn't mean you're not pregnant.

At the time that I went to my primary doctor I didn't take those test yet but by the time I went to the emergency room (for the blood test) I told the doctor there and I guess you can say he was more set to believe his own theory. If that's the case the last time I had sex was June which mean I should be about 9 weeks and I would think the hormones would kick in by now.
