I had my cartilage (helix) peirced last Tuesday the (7th) and its been fine for the days then but yesterday my boyfriend was giving me a cuddle and he hit it twice once in the morning and before bed, but right before he hit it before bed I got it caught in my hair, and I am not sure if I slept on it for a bit or anything last night?:/
But today its been so sore and a bit swollen:/ it looks quite swollen at the back of it? And its been quite red today and my ear feels rather hot as well, is this normal?
I'm a person who panics a lot so to have this happen all I've done is panic haha, if anybody could reassure me I'd be so grateful!
I've been cleaning it daily with salt and warm water with cotton buds and also using dettol soap in the shower, but I've only done this twice. .
Please could anybody help me?

I got told that cartilage piercings hurt more because they take a longer time to heal. I got mine done on the 16th and when my hair gets caught or I accidentally knock it it hurts a little bit. But maybe you should go and see your piercer just to make sure everything is fine with it and it doesn't have an infection or something. Hope that helps! :)

This is quite normal. Avoid letting it being touched. Although if it pusses or get abnormally large - c a doc x
