I want to run away from home!
I'm twelve and my parents hate me. My dad will call me names and occasionally hit me whenever we get into a fight. My mom takes my stuff, and hides it with lock and key. They don't trust me around my own sister! They care about her more than me. My mom yells at me and accusing me of something I didn't do. When I try to hurt myself, they completely ignore me! I want to run away!

Ok, now that the rant is over, tell us what is really going on.

You get stuff taken away, ( who gave you the stuff) why is it being taken away , when is it given back)

Sister, why don't they trust you, what has happened in past to make them lose the trust?

Why are you fighting with dad? Why are you not just obeying him and not arguing back?

Chuck is right on this one. You're twelve and still a child, you may not understand that there are reasons that you are getting things taken away and being punished.

Hitting is a completely different story though. If your father is abusive physically, you need to reach out and find some help. Is there a teacher you trust at school that you could talk to about this? A guidance counselor?

Yes, like they've said, tell someone, get an adult you trust to help. You are not alone.
