    Thyroid issue
Hello I am 28 and I have been experiencing frequent headachesalmost everyday for 2 months. I feel like my throat is scratchy and I think I may have some swelling below my adams apple. Could this be my thyroid?

No, thyroid doesn't react that way. Your thyroid regulates many areas of your body and the only way a difference can be detected is with a blood test.

It could be anything. You could have a cold and anything from that to cancer or worse.

The internet won't give you a diagnosis, only a doctor will. If you're concerned about this, that should be your next step, a doctor. Or do you want a guess? I can guess! I can pick one of millions of possibilities. Is that good enough for you? It wouldn't be for me. But if it is, let me spin the wheel, see what it lands on.

Fact is, you can Google all you want. It won't tell you what's wrong. Even a doctor can't give you a diagnosis online, and no doctor would volunteer his free services online knowing he can't give you a diagnosis. Think about it. A doctor in the US makes $250 a visit, if not more. Why would a doctor be online giving free advice?

So, the question is this. Do you want a guess, or do you want a diagnosis? If you want a guess, I can guess. It's a guess based on a thousand or more possibilities, but hey, if you accept a guess you don't want facts, so who cares? If you want to know what's wrong, see a doctor. Don't Google.

    Rude? No.

Only a doctor can diagnose, and not online.

I'm sure there are many people that have the same symptoms you do, but they likely don't have the same issue. That's why it's dangerous to ask a medical question online. Someone answers with "Oh ya, I had that, it was nothing, you'll be fine", and you think it's okay, and don't see your doctor, only to find out later that it's something life threatening that had you seen your doctor, could have been caught in time to save your life.

We won't diagnose or even guess on this site. If that's what you want, find a site that doesn't care about the people that post.
