    Blow flies
    We keep having blow flies
Getting into the house somehow. Even when the house is closed up tight. Had a pest control guy out he looked everywhere and found no evidence of anything dead for them to be feeding on. It's also been several months now and if there we're something it'd be gone by now. Could this be a crack in the sewer line?

If it is then you have a drain fly infestation. Drain flies live and breed in sewers and drains. If you think you might have drain flies get back to me. It took me 2 months to get rid of my infestation and I can show you how I did it. Good luck, Tom

Thanks for responding Tom. No, what we have are not drain flies. We have blow flies, aka bottle flies, that's what the exterminator told us they are. But he can't find any evidence as to where they are coming from. We were thinking, since you find these type of flies in feces or decaying corpses, no corpses to be found, possibly they are attracted to feces from the sewer lines. But not sure if that is possible. And/or how to find out if there is a crack in the sewer lines?

Are you on a septic tank? While I've come across drain flies in a sewer I've never come across blow flies.
he can't find any evidence as to where they are coming from.
And that's the first thing you have to do before you can start to eliminate them. The very first thing to do is locate the source and seal it off. Then you can start to kill them off in the house. Anymore details to give me? Good luck, Tom

Unfortunately Tom, I do not have any more details. I am at a complete loss as to wear these flies sent from hell are actually coming from. I wish I did, that would make life simple in this situation but, as it goes for me, nothing is EVER simple. Thank you anyway.

There should be a spot where there are more then a couple of flies. They have to come from someplace and you will see more flies around that place. How about simply closing 5the house down and setting off bug bombs throughout. Sound like a plan? Good luck Tom PS. Having just got rid of a 2 months drain fly infestation I can feel your pain T.
