    Ga re rent
    Broke a yrs lease w 6wks notice. Showed home before I moved out. Had new renter in right after I moved out. Would I be due return of prepaid rent ? Is this considered double dipping?

    If your lease stated that you were responsible to pay the landlord a specific amount if you broke the lease then this would not be double dipping. But if your lease did not say anything about a lease break fee, and if you didn't agree in writing with the landlord to pay a specific fee to break your lease, then the landlord must return any prepaid rent for the time when there was a new tenant living there.
