    How do you exercise them? I have big dogs. They have a doggie door and the run, literally 5 or 6 hours a day, racing around. I can't imagine living with a big dog up seven floors. I did it in NYC and I still feel guilty. I should have had a small dog.

    It's not relevant to this question but you did mention it. I thought we both owned GSDs.

    Four 40 min walks daily and the terrier gets bike rides as well. Im glad your dogs actually run. The lady I house sit for with theee Malinois has a doggy door with 25 acres and Ive discovered that her dogs go into the bush and laze out amd maybe exercise themselves an hour or so a day.
    Its just a sensitive topic for me because I was heavily criticized for moving into an apartment with my terrier, then even more so with the Dane - mainly by people who have a fenced in backyard where they throe their dogs and assume they exercise. You thankfully are different.
