My belly button piercing is really red and dry around the balls. Is that normal?
My boyfriend thinks its infected but I know it's not because it doesn't hurt and it doesn't look gross. It's just really dry mostly by the top ball and it's red but I know that's normal. I just want I make sure if it is normal for the dry skin to be there or not because he's scaring me by saying its infected. I clean about 2-3 times a day with H2Ocean spray and I also wash it with antibacterial soap about 1 time a day. I know over cleaning is bad but my piercer (he's pro) told me to clean 3-4 times a day. But anyone have any answers for me?

That depends on how long it's been pierced, I have had mine done for 6 yrs and I did expirence dry skin but it didn't last long, he may be a pro, but having a shower and putting normal soap and water should be just fine.. don't go over the top with cleaning it. Hope it helped in some way.

Do you wash the spray off ? Most of the sprays have to be washed off a few minutes after use also if it's a new piercing its still healing its normal for it to be a little dry just give it a while to heal
