So I'm scared since he knows all my information that he can receive the money with out me knowing. I want I'm asking is.. there any possible way he can get the money without the court system knowing, and my insurance/ annuity owner knowing. I need help.. who do I talk to? Who do I ask? How can I make sure my money is safe, and hasn't been processed?

What is JGW, is it a company that pays up front cash for a structured settlement?

Was this friend helping you get the settlement?

If you decided not to go through with it, just check with the company that owes you the settlement to make sure it hasn't been paid out.

JGW is not going to issue you a check until they have confirmed with the insurer that the settlement will be paid to them. The insurer won't issue a check until the settlement is due.
