How to voluntarily relinquish parental rights in wv
I am not sure if I am the father of my child but am expecting to get a paternity test this week. My daughters mother had been with a guy throughout our relationship and left me when my daughter was a month old. She a month later married the guy and moved to Florida for the summer. She has to my knowledge since returned. I grew up without my parents and told myself I would make a family environment for my child. I am only 20 years old and its getting hard to complete nursing school with all this drama. I want to sign my rights over to her husband and have him adopt her. They are a good family and treat each other well. If she is mine id rather her have a stable home life than one like I had. How do I go about relinquishing my rights, adoption to him, and how to go about all this. I live in West Virginia and need serious help ASAP.

Good, there is a plan, you don't do anything but sign, mother of child will file to allow husband to adopt, their attorney will do forms allowing you to sign over your rights to allow the adoption. At the date of adoption your liability for child support ends

You can not force them to adopt or even start the legal procedure for adoption, they have to do it. I assumed you had talked to her and they wanted to adopt, if they don't want to, there is nothing you can do to make them adopt. Or to sign over any rights

However, in the US a husband is considered the presumed father, even if the marriage is after the birth. So in all likelihood, he is the legal father already

What is this court case about? You can't just get a DNA test. It has to be ordered and approved by the court.
