Can I get visitation and or custody of my 4month old nephew
I use to get my nephew every weekend and when he was 2months old I had him for 3weeks straight the mother would pick him up before I went to work and would drop him off when I got home from work. Then her anf the father my brother gor into an argument and she told I wasn't going to him anymore... a week later I had him. One of the 1st few weeks that I had him he had really bad heat rash and diaper rash. DCFS was called multiple times by the time they actually seen the baby most of it was cleared up thanks to me becausr I had him for a few days. He mow has a little scar below the diaper which the mother says is a birth mark... not true. So noe she put a retraining order against the father for 2months because he couldn't make it to court because of his probation. Is there anyway I can get custody or at least visitation. She refuses to talk to me now.

You can always file for either but it would involve PROVING her to be a danger to the child, emotionally or physically.

ANY question on law needs to include your general locale as laws vary by area.

But most areas do not allow rights to an aunt. If they do it when there has been an extreme bond formed. And I don't see that with a 4 month old.
