    Sexual problems
Hi there, I'm a 16 year old female, I have recently had sex 2 nights ago and it absolutely killed, I have only had sex 3 times but I feel like it shouldn't be hurting so much where I can't even do it. Right when he enters me it hurts too much to continue, what would it be? Should I seek more advice(doctor, or check up)? Help!

Totally a side issue but what methods of birth control (at least 2) are you using AND is your relationship legal in your State?

You're not trying to get pregnant? 16 year old females who have unprotected sex get pregnant all the time.

You are either using birth control (2 forms) because you aren't ready to raise a baby OR you aren't using birth control because you want to get pregnant.

Those are the only two choices.

Wishing and crossing your fingers doesn't work.

No one should engage in sexual intercourse unless they are ready to have a child. If you are no using protection then the assumption is you want to become pregnant. That is, after all, what sex is for.

If you do not want to become pregnant then you should not be engaging in sexual intercourse. Because no form of birth control is 100% effective.

Ahem. Sorry to interrupt, but this OP is 16, underage!

Did the AMHD policy change? Are we now allowed to give sexual advice to people under the age of 18?

I'm not comfortable with that. Not doing it.

I'll wish the OP good luck, and wish that she stops having sex until she's older.

Good catch - what is policy?

I could argue this both ways - don't answer and she can post on single and pregnant or DO answer and give inappropriate advice to a minor.

    Yikes!

But there is a huge difference about advising a pregnant 16 year old about her pregnancy, and advising a 16 year old about sex and why it hurts and how to make it better.

I know that if this post was in AS (Adult sexuality) we wouldn't answer without confirming that the OP is at least 18. But she didn't post this in AS.

I guess my question is, should the forum matter? If the child posts in AS we don't answer her sex question, but if she posts in women's health it's okay?

To be honest, I don't even agree that 18 should be the cutoff. My thoughts are that AS should be for 21 and older. To me 18 is still a child.

But 16? No way am I giving sex advice to a 16 year old. But that's just me. I would like to know what AMHD policy is, and if it depends on the forum, not age. :)
