    Warrant and marriage?
My fiancé has a warrant but we want to get married first so his daughter is not put into the system due to no one she can go to while his time is served. Is there a way we can get married out of state with his warrant? And if so, what is a reasonable amount of states away? His warrant is for violation of probation and fta also I believe.

I've seen other posts, please no rude comments. Just trying to keep my family together.

I believe most states still requre that you be a resident to get a marriage license. But I don't know whether they check for warrants when one applies for a marriage license.

If you are able to marry him before he is arrested, I don't know how that would change the equation. Instead of the child being the daughter of your fiancé, she would be your step-daughter. Neither status has any particular legal significance in the eyes of the law.

One thing he could do would be to give you a document delegating his custody rights to you. Where is the child's mother?
