Hi luish and welcome to AMHD.

You have piggy backed your question about an emergency generator to a 5 year old question about wiring a tanning bed.

    Start a new thread.
Post your question, use short, complete sentences with proper punctuation. Frankly I can't figure out what you are saying. One reason is because I don't know where one sentence ends and another starts. Do not use abbreviations. I don't know what ext. means. It could be an abbreviation for an external box, a extension box, an exit box or an extra box. Or it could mean something entirely different. I suspect the box you are speaking of has a descriptive name that does not resemble ext. in any way.

Don't try to use a short hand way of saying something. What does this mean?

    thecolors are x/green-y/red-white/white-black/greenscrew.ext
It could mean x is green, y is red but then white would have to mean white. And what is greenscrew?

Or it could mean x is green with a yellow strip or something like that. I don't know

Take the time and effort to key in the words, all of them. If you aren't willing spend the time and effort to post your question complete sentences why should we spent the time and effort to help you.

Use at least the minimum punctuation. The reader needs it to understand what you have written.

And use spell check. It not only catches misspelled words but catches a lot of typos or typing errors. It appears that you are no better at typing than I am. However, I always use spell check and edit my post, usually several times.

Finally, before you click send, read what you have written. Ask yourself, will the reader understand what I am trying to say. Is this a well formed sentence? How many ways can what I have said be interpreted? Is there a better way to say it? Remember we don't know what you are trying to say, we don't know what thoughts are going through you mind. We only know the words on the page.

I'm not trying to be an a&#hole and this is not intended to be a lesson in English composition, just help on how to get answers to you questions.

P.S. If you question is about connecting you emergency generator to you house wiring, there are things other than wiring connections that must be considered, important things.

If anyone out there can interpret luish1161's post, let me know and I will happily delete my response.

I did and made an error.

If you like I can delete all responses and everyone can start over again.

    Sorry, but things happen.

I can delete back to original post. Things got confused, I mix up with another L poster. May be the best way.

No problem HK, we are cool.
