    Harassing apt. Manager
Hi my daughter who is my only child and I are living in a low income HUD apartments in the state of a Mississippi. We are both on the lease. My daughter ran into some trouble with the law and the city police came to our home. We both have never had any problems at the apartments or with the law until now. The manager told me I must take my daughter off my lease within 30 days and she is not allowed to stay there anymore because the police came out to our apartment. My daughter did not cause harm to anymore or do anything violent. Can the manager evict us? Please help us. We have nowhere to go if this happens.

Read your lease. Most leases have a clause prohibiting illegal activities. So it may be possible they can force her out.

What was the nature of the trouble?

Can I be evicted for this, I didn't know anything about this until the police came. If so much time will I have before I would have to be out.

Again you need to read your lease. Its possible. They would have to give 30 day notice.

The manager already told you, take daughter off lease and she cannot live there. They did not say you had to leave. If you do not make her leave, or talk to them and let them evict her, yes, they can evict both of you.

She bought stolen goods and resold them, sorry this is receiving stolen property and may even be consider part of the "theft" ring.
